Great show -- TOO short (mob-entry!)!
The amazing show and dancers deserved SIX stars, but I only gave it 3 stars for two reasons:
The first reason is that the show was unnecessarily short, just slightly over an hour, which is around 30% shorter than most Broadway shows. This "shortness" is likely driven by profit, as they do 5/6 shows a day with only two shifts for the dancers.
The second reason for the low rating is likely connected to the first.
Our experience getting into the theater and finding our seats was chaotic and unpleasant. It felt like being in a mob with people pushing and shoving, and the excessive security measures and searches made it even worse. This level of disorganization was not seen in the other shows we attended in NYC that weekend.
The show's exit was even more troublesome. Trying to use the restroom and buy souvenirs was a challenge due to the overcrowded and uncomfortable conditions. The venue seemed to be cramming in too many shows, sacrificing quality and comfort for quantity and profit.
Overall, while the show and dancers were fantastic, the organizers need to prioritize the overall experience for all ticket holders. Safety, comfort, and entertainment should be the focus from start to finish in a relaxed and hassle-free environment. My husband and I attend multiple shows each season in DC and NY, and this experience was unique and disappointing.
